“THE RHYTHM IS SUPERB AND IT BLENDS PERFECTLY WITH THE SINGING, I COULDN’T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT.”

“I feel that this tune really has a lot of potential, it just needs to be put together the right way. A nice bass line will absolutely make a big difference to the whole project. A little re-verb on the drums as well, and maybe a voice that sings the second voice and not a dubbed one? The sound on this recording is nice and clear, and I wish you the very best on completing your album 🙂 Cheers.”

“Well that’s ironic, nice album concept. Good luck with the new album mate. The direction seems to be positive. Not much to critique since it’s not done yet. But the lyrics are straight and the string play is nice. The hand drum effect is creative and a nice fresh touch. Cheers”

“Interesting song concept. I am curious to see where you go with it. I like the intro with guitars and voice. The chord progression sounds good and the music seems well recorded.”

“August Will Decay has such a very unique sound. His music style is simplistic yet it carries a powerful force with it that not many artists can produce nowadays. His lyrics are deep and meaningful and not just noise or cliches. His music is an expertly done expression of emotion that is very very dangerously lacking in today’s society. 10/10 would absolutely love to hear more.” Comment By: Christopher Maradiaga 9-19-2015

I had a vision Or was it a dream People in a place of light With a warmth that healed my soul
I had a love That I thought was real I looked on the bright side Another lesson learned
I had a hope This time you had changed That you’d care for me As I always cared for you
I felt the loneliness When you wouldn’t be there When you turned you back on me When I found that you lied to me
(Chorus) I felt the pain in my heart and my soul Washed over my body like the rain I felt the deceit you couldn’t honor our friendship wouldn’t change for me can’t even change for yourself
I felt the weight Bearing down on my strength Pushing me down Beating my faith into the ground
I felt the anger The pain of lies Lies that were forgiven But never acknowledged
I felt the distance You brushed me off As though you never cared You proved to me that you never did
I felt the jealousy Another man Twisting my heart Crushing my faith for you
(chorus) I felt the pain in my heart and my soul Washed over my body like the rain I felt the deceit you couldn’t honor our friendship wouldn’t change for me Cant even change for yourself
(solo)
(chorus) I felt the pain in my heart and my soul Washed over my body like the rain I felt the deceit you couldn’t honor our friendship wouldn’t change for me Cant even change for yourself
I saw the truth For once it shined on me It was blinding and painful A life of agony
I saw your eyes I knew it was true They told me who you really are And that I never knew you
I had a vision Or was it a dream People that I grew to trust Had let me down When it was over I knew the truth I would never trust again Another lesson learned

One Wish (2min53) By: Shawn Petrie (10-11-2015) Performed by: August Will Decay Loaded Knife Records (2015)
(Verse 1) My blood runs colder as I wait for the end And the feeling of emptiness Takes over again My tears run endlessly In a circle of death Kept in motion by The time spent in the dark
(Chorus 1) But, if I had one wish I would make the world change I would bundle up my problems And never face them again
(Verse 2) Then it wouldn’t be so hard For me to wake up each day Loose grip on the sands of time As I slip away When I’m inside my head And I’m looking for the door I’m finding out many things I never knew before
(Chorus 2) But, if I had one wish I would make the world change I would bundle up my problems And never face them again
(Verse 3) But I can’t forget Or let go of regret I still know this place so well It may be the source of my hell The truth is, I’m blind And I cannot escape my mind My life is spent wasted in this place And my death will result in the end
(Chorus 4) But, if I had one wish I would make the world change I would bundle up my problems And never face them again
