I had a vision
Or was it a dream
People in a place of light
With a warmth that healed my soul
I had a love
That I thought was real
I foolishly looked at the bright side
Another lesson learned
I had a hope
That this time you had changed
That this time you would care for me
As I have always cared for you
I felt the loneliness
When you refused to be there for me
When you turned your back on me
When I found out you lied to me
I felt the pain
In my heart
In my soul
Washed over my body like the rain
I felt the deceit
You couldn’t honor our friendship
You wouldn’t change for me
You cant even change for yourself
I felt the weight
Bearing down on my strength
Pushing me down
Beating my faith into the ground
I felt the anger
The rage of built up lies
Lies that were forgiven
But never acknowledged
I felt the distance
You brushed me off as though we never met,
As though you never cared
You proved to me that you never did
I felt the jealousy
A vision of another man in your arms
Twisting my heart
Crushing my trust for you
I saw the truth
For once it shined on me
It was blinding and painful
And invoked back logged agony
I say your eyes
They told me the worst was true
They told me who you really are
And that I never knew you
I saw his reaction
To the description of your game
I could tell he didn’t care
I know he is the right one for you
I had thought what we had was real
I felt like I could trust you
I saw that you never cared for me
And just as easily as you dismissed me
I now must bury this evil
