Here I rest with no visible fears
My hands aren’t shaking and I cant conjure tears
And I’ve started to move past all my wasted years
And I have regain what of my heart she still bears
Here I awake having slept through the night
Holding you in my arms, so warm and so tight
I cant ignore that this all feels so right
In my dark cave you shine true loving light
You have been here for me, your always around
And when you said that you loved me, though an unfamiliar sound
I felt my bruised heart get up off the ground
And I want to match this love pound for pound
How would it be if I started to run
Looked towards an option which offered more fun
Showing a new person, holding a smoking gun, but
I cant quite conceive, it’s a million to one
It seems as though, what you said you meant
You straitened a soul which was broken and bent
You kept me company, we made love and you went
But you always come back, I’m in love and content
