Did I even take the form

Were you employed
Where were you when I denied
I never saw you before
You never came around
Did I make you leave
Somehow I believed
You believed in things of uncertainty
I hoped I was new to you
I wished upon a star
Came that day
Which repeated itself constant
Subtle abuse chipping away
Until I couldn’t leave you
You saw my commitment
Made a decision
How I would never go, maybe couldn’t
So you quit and ran towards your problems again
GO back to your haven
AWAY from anyone that cared
