The past seems like a dream
Wondering if that’s how I’m living now
A tear drops by the chill of your screams

Thinking of people that I have loved
The ones who have stayed and the ones I have lost
Ready to give up on the ones I have now
And get you back at any cost

I know that all seems wrong
And for sure not how I should live
Maybe it’s because you hold a part of me
That I foolishly decided to give

Seeing as how you said that you loved me
I thought that you would always be there
But one day I wasn’t paying attention
Turned around and you weren’t there

All of the people I have known
And in my own fathers raised hand

Is this really an example of a man

Happiness has surly passed me by

The thoughts of complication make the world feel so deserted
The words I try to speak come out all wrong
At times i have the answers but there quickly lost
And i am only left with more questions, the pain is so unreal

I don’t know why you left me, in the eyes of another man

I tried so hard to be happy, you kept much pain at bay
But there was too much and it was hard to hold it all inside each day
