Anyone that knows me knows I love HORROR! You can never have too much gore, grit, and disturbing imagery to keep you on your toes.
I have come across this very exciting new release called BLOODSHOCK.
BLOODSHOCK is the 2nd film in the new American Guinea Pig Series and follows: Bouquet of Guts & Gore
It all started in 1984 with an infamous release that changed the game for intense gore films.
“In 1991 Charlie Sheen saw a tape that he thought was a snuff film. He contacted the authorities and the FBI started an investigation. This was a GUINEA PIG tape and the start of an FBI task force dedicated to the film series. The original Japanese films have been banned since a series of high profile murders occurred there.”

Beneath The Underground was able to sit down with lead actor Dan Ellis who will star in the forthcoming AMERICAN GUINEA PIG: BLOODSHOCK.
BTU: Tell us about your past work that might have prepared you for your role in American Guinea Pig: BLOODSHOCK
DE: It’s a completely different role from what I’ve done previously and I’m on the opposite end of the old “give and take” for sure. I was really lucky early on in my career and got to work a lot with Ryan Nicholson, his experience doing effects and how they need to be shot was really one of the best experiences for me. Most of my previous films have a lot of effects and deal with gruesome things so having a working knowledge of “how its done” and not being a stranger to this type of content helped me.

AMERICAN GUINEA PIG: BLOODSHOCK was directed by special-makeup artist Marcus Koch (WE ARE STILL HERE, CIRCUS OF THE DEAD, THE LADIES OF THE HOUSE) from a script by Unearthed topper Stephen Biro. Koch, Cat Bernier and Oddtopsy FX created the gore, and the cast includes Dann Ellis, Lillian McKinney, Andy Winton, Gene Palibicki, Alberto Giovennelli and Maureen Pelematti.
The synopsis: “A man finds himself trapped and used for medical experiments in an abandoned mental facility. He doesn’t understand why or how he got there, but the surgical tortures allow him to experience a new level of pain, sadness and reality he has never felt before. As the levels of maniacal mutilation enfolds, he finds himself down the rabbit hole. Grasping onto anything, the tormented finds a way out. Clutching onto what every human being is desperate for…little does he understand, his ending is all of our endings.”
